The Academic Male Choir of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing was established on January 11, 2016, as the initiative of the conductor Josip Degl 'Ivellio and the Dean Professor Mislav Grgic, Ph.D. The constitution and first rehearsal of the choir was held on January 18, 2016. The choir has since held regular weekly rehearsals and has grown into Croatia's most prominent men's choir.

The choir's repertoire emphasizes classical choral literature, primarily from Croatian composers. It includes acappella compositions of the classical repertoire, from Renaissance to contemporary music, and compositions for clapet singing and contemporary or popular multilayer music. Members of the choir are present and former students, the Faculty staff, and other interested friends and supporters of the Faculty.

The conductor of the choir is mo. Josip Degl 'Ivellio, conductor and composer from Zagreb, and the Choir prefect is Professor Kristian Jambrošić, Ph.D., full professor at the FER Department of Electroacoustics.

During his first year of existence (2016), the choir had 17 concerts, which is evidence of a very high-quality male choir, which is rare in Croatia today. During 2017, the choir held 26 concerts, and in 2018, over 30 concerts, and on May 17, 2018, it held the 1st annual concert in the great hall of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. The choir has so far performed in Croatia (Zagreb, Glina, Pitomača, Croatia Kostajnica, Samobor, Tuhelj, Kaštela, Grabrovnica, Bakar, Split), Slovenia (Stična), Italy (Rome), Kosovo (Peć, Klina, Pristina) Serbia (Novi Sad, Subotica) and France (Paris).

On the first international choir tour in Rome (Italy) from 4 to May 10, 2017, the choir held five concerts and public performances. It opened a cycle of concerts organized by the "Domenico Bartolucci" Foundation on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of one of the greatest composers of church music and the beginning of the 21st-century Msgr. Domenico Cardinal Bartolucci. The choir builds university, ecumenical, interreligious, and cultural cooperation and friendship with various academic, religious, and city choirs.

On VIII. on June 3, 2017, the choir won the gold plaque and participated in the prize for grand Prix competitions.

On November 4, 2017, at the 2nd International Competition of Singing Choirs and Vocal Ensembles held in KD "Vatroslav Lisiniski" in Zagreb, the choir was the total winner of the competition with the highest number of points and also won special prize money of the professional judging court.

On May 30, 2018, the choir won in the competition section and, as the best choir of Zagreb, among the nominated choirs, participated as the representative of the City of Zagreb at the 51st meeting of the Croatian Singing Choirs at the 41st Meeting of the Zagreb Amateur Musicians held in the Tresnjevka Culture Center choirs in Zagreb.

On IX. June 2, 2018, the choir won the gold plaque and, as the only Croatian choir, participated in the inscription for the Grand Prix.

On October 6th and 7th, 2018, the choir won the gold plaque and, after 30 years, became the first male choir in the state choirs competition

On November 4, 2018, at the 3rd International Competition of Singing Choirs and Vocal Ensembles held in KD "Vatroslav Lisiniski" in Zagreb, the choir won the golden plaque

At the 22nd International Festival CRO Patria 2018, held in Split on December 2, 2018, the choir won the Golden Plaque "Cathedral" with audience voices.

At the 42nd meetings of musical amateurs in Zagreb held in the Center for culture "Trešnjevka" on May 29, 2019., the choir won in the competitive part of the program, and as the best choir will represent the city of Zagreb in the 52nd meetings of Croatian singing choirs in Rovinj.

At the 10th international competition of singing choirs, "Golden Lime of Tuhelj" on June 8, 2019, the choir won a golden plaque and, as the sole Croatian choir, participated in the inscription for the Grand Prix.

At the statewide choir competition, 52. meetings of Croatian singing choirs in Rovinj on the 5th and 6th of October 2019., The choir won a silver plaque.

At the 23rd international festival CRO Patria 2019. held in Split on December 1, 2019., The choir was awarded a golden plaque, "Katedrala" from the public's votes and a bronze plaque from the expert international judging committee.

At the XI. International competition of singing choirs "Golden Lime of Tuhelj", on November 14, 2020., The choir won a golden plaque and the Grand Prix.

At the 14th international competition GLAZ-B-OS, on December 17th and 18th, 2020. in Osijek, the expert judging committee awarded the choir with a golden plaque.

At the statewide choir competition,  the 53. meetings of Croatian singing choirs held virtually on January 23, 2021. the choir won the prize of the Croatian composers' society - the sole award in this format of the competition. The reward was given for the most successful composition performance by a Croatian composer. The recording of the awarded performance of "Pjesma orača" (xxx/Zlatko Grgošević) is available online.

The choir won the third prize at the 12th International Choir Meeting in Zadar, held online on May 22, 2021.

In just five years since its founding, this choir has won 1 Grand Prix, nine gold plaques, two silver plaques, and one bronze plaque3 times he participated in the competition for the grand Prix of competition; 3 times is the overall winner of a competition; the Chori is the winner of a special cash prize of the expert jury.
